Hardware Myths: Oven Baked Graphics Card Repair

04:02
After having trouble with my 8800 GTS Graphics Card I decided to give one of the most common "fix" guides I've read about a go. As much as this isn't an ideal or long term solution, days of troubleshooting have got me pretty frustrated, so anything was worth a try to save one of my all time favourite GPU's. So what happened to these dedicated cards, and are they still relevant today? Let's take a look at the Asus Ageia P1. Thank you for watching :)

Should You Buy The i5 9400F? - Brief First Impressions

Can This Old $1200 "Future Proof" PC Still Play Games?

04:26
After discovering an old article regarding a $1200 "future proof" PC build I thought it would be interesting to see just how well it would perform now, 5 years in the future. For just less than $350 or about £283 these days, can a build like this live up to it's original intention and handle a few modern titles, despite costing almost four times less to build in 2017 than in 2012? Let's find out! Our PC build consists of an i5 2500k, GTX 570 and 4GB of Ram and will be put through it's paces with games like The Witcher 3, Battlefield 1, Grand Theft Auto V and Fallout 4. The Story Of The Mysterious, Notorious and Most Controversial PC Building Company

Back in the early 2000's a high end PC would have likely featured a Pentium 4, and Nvidia FX Ultra graphics card. At the time these components would have been more than enough to run all of your favourite and demanding programs and games, but anyone looking for over the top and quite frankly unnecessary computing power may have come across Go-L computers, a company that wasn't without it's fair share of mystery and controversy... This $850 CPU Now Costs As Little As $10 | Can This Classic Core 2 Quad Still Play Games?

04:46
With online auction sites often filled with absolute bargains, it's relatively easy to source a whole budget gaming PC for a very reasonable price, even if that means going with slightly older hardware. When the Q6600 was first released it cost a whopping $850 but was reduced to $530 just months later. The Q6600 quickly became the CPU of choice for many gamers, and it's no surprise that many people still use this today thanks to it's pretty decent overclocking ability. But just how capable is it when it comes to a few of the more demanding games out there? In this one we paired it with the AMD Radeon RX 460 to find out! The RX 460 is a very capable budget card and easily allowed the Q6600 to reach it's full potential, even when overclocked.
