I've been getting a lot of questions lately with people asking if they need to setup an LLC to sell on eBay, Amazon, or to setup their own ecommerce store. There are plenty of benefits to setting up an LLC, however most small time new sellers don't need to take this step until they actually start making more serious money. In this video I discuss the benefits and protections an LLC offers and when is the right time to set one up.

Hey guys, in today's video were answering a viewer question. When it comes to Amazon or even just ecommerce in general should you do self fulfilled or use either Amazon FBA or a fulfillment company to filfill your orders for you? In this video I discuss which I use for my business and what I recommend. Personally I think using others to fulfill orders makes you lose some control of your business, and also leaves money on the table since your obviously paying someone else to fulfill your orders. My recommendation is to self fulfill until it becomes more than you can handle. I feel you learn a lot about ecommerce, business and shipping by self fulfilling. Also, I feel you save yourself alot of money early on, why pay someone else to do something you can do yourself until you actually really can't handle the fulfillment. Even when working a fulltime 50 hour a week job I was able to ship out 50+ packages a day between myself and my partner without needing to use a fulfillment service so it can be done. What do you prefer? Answer in the comments section below...

Hey guys, so last week I did a video clarifying Amazon's dropshipping policy. Today I'm going to be clarifying and explaining eBay's dropshipping policy. So with Amazon Dropshipping is allowed, however the big requirement is that you need to be the "seller of record" meaning your name must appear on the label, packing slip, and as the one providing customer service. This means that retail dropshipping ie ordering something from Bed Bath and Beyond and sending to an Amazon customer is not allowed. eBay however doesn't have this rule. eBay calls dropshipping product sourcing which to me is a little misleading as to me product sourcing means contacting an Alibaba supplier and ordering 1,000 units of an item, not dropshipping but who cares that's besides the point. eBays really only real requirement is that you have the item delivered to the buyer within 30 days. Despite the fact that eBay gives you 30 days I would highly recommend making sure your items are delivered within 7 days. eBay and Amazon customers are used to and expect fast shipping. eBay maybe a little slower than amazon but still I would say 3-5 days. If your taking 30 days to have items delievered your going to have a lot of upset customers, a lot of negative feedback and a lot of headaches. Do you have any other questions about eBay or Amazon Dropshipping? Drop a comment below...

In this video we talk about counterfeits on Amazon which is a big topic these days. I also share a funny story about how Amazon accused me of selling counterfeits of my own item. Keep in mind this is my own private label item which I created the listing for and which is for an item which I have manufactured specifically for me. This is akin to Amazon telling Nike that they think they are selling counterfeit Nike shoes, it's just silly. Hope you guys enjoy the story and learn something. Have you had any instances of either people counterfeitting your product on Amazon? Has Amazon ever accused you of selling counterfeit items? How was the issue resolved? I'm often asked this question by eBayers so decided to make a quick video and address the question of whether you are allowed to have multiple eBay stores. Yes you are allowed to have multiple eBay stores to seperate different products, niches, brands, etc. You are not allowed to setup multiple eBay stores however to attempt to circumvent selling limitations or limits. Watch this video to learn more and avoid any eBay violations or bans.

Hey guys, recently I had to buy a part for my stackable washer and dryer. This part is a little plastic piece which couldn't have possibly costed more than a few cents to make, however I wound up paying $32 for it. Why? Because not very many people sell it and because it's an item I needed. I think many people who are thinking about getting into ecommerce for the first time try to go with products they are interested in or products which are "sexy". That said those types of products often have small margins and the most competition. Oftentimes it's the small boring type products, the stuff people don't even think about selling that offer the best margins and the least amount of competition. I think this product illustrates this point perfectly. Can you think of any products or parts you have had to buy recently which you felt were incredibly expensive for what they were? What are some examples? Drop a comment below...

Can I Private Label Ali Express Products? Probably the most common question I get asked is whether or not you can private label Ali Express Products. Typically you cannot private label Ali Express products. The reason is that Ali Express is a business to consumer (B2C) site, basically retail, where as Alibaba is a business to business (B2B) site or basically wholesale. When you buy from Ali Express your buying from resellers and the products are already made. When you buy from Alibaba your buying from the manufacture and the products are not even made until you either put down a down payment or pay for the order. This is why your able to customize the product and/or add your brand or label to it. If you want to watch my video where I go into great depth about Ali Express vs Alibaba I'll link to it below... https://youtu.be/iLUtcN2iAnw One thing to be aware of is where as you can order as little as one unit off Ali Express, Alibaba typically requires larger order sizes or MOQ's as they refer to it. Also, when you private label it typically also requires a larger MOQ. Something I have suggested in previous videos is before you commit to buying 1,000 customized items from Alibaba, maybe you place a smaller order of 20 units or 50 unites from Ali Express. You list them on eBay, Amazon, Shopify, etc, you see how they sell, and if they sell well you can more confidently place the larger private labeled order on Alibaba. Keep in mind that nobody is going to private label for a dropshipper. Private labeling requires extra work on there part. They aren't going to customize 1 unit at a time for you as your customers order them. I do have a bit of a hack or a shortcut to private labeling for those of you who cannot meet the MOQ of Alibaba sellers. You can buy generic products via Ali Express, and then go to a site like Paklane, where you can create custom packaging with your brand name and logo on them. While this isn't "true" private labeling, it is a way to start building a brand and some brand awareness until your able to place a larger private label order from Alibaba. Hopefully this video clears up the whole private labeling and whether its possible to do on Ali Express question. Feel free to drop a comment below with your questions and/or thoughts.

I know a lot of you are wanting to get into the t-shirt design business and sell tee shirts on Amazon Merch, TeeSpring, RedBubble, Shopify, etc. I'm in this business myself. In the past I've pretty much always used Fiverr sellers. They do great designs and it's typically pretty cheap $5 or $10. That said I've also been wanting to design my own t-shirts. It would save me a little bit of money, it would allow me to put my design down exactly how I want it as opposed to having to communicate my design idea to someone else who may or may not get it, and also sometimes it's frustrating having to wait a week for a designer to finish your design. Especially so if it's a hot trending topic and you want to get that shirt out ASAP. I've wanted to find a way to create t-shirts not using PhotoShop or AdobeCreator or any other expensive and complicated programs. Sure there's some free programs out there but oftentimes they won't allow you to make images large enough for Amazon Merch or they won't make a clear background for you. I recently discoverd a method of making t-shirts which is stupid easy and which uses two free programs, Canva.Com, and ResizeImage.Net. Canva is a very user friendly easy to use design program and while it doesn't make images 5400x4500 like Amazon wants, it does allow us to do 4167x5000 which is close enough to the proper size that we can use resizeimage.net without affecting quality much at all. Now this video is going to focus almost entirely on the actual designing of the shirts and not on the other business aspects such as how to find hot niches, how to advertise your shirts cheaply on Facebook, etc All that info can be found easily on blogs and Youtube videos, and I teach most of this stuff for free on my channel if you browse around. That said if you're looking for more hand holding and want everything clearly laid out in one place below is a link to a course about starting a t-shirt business which will lay out everything you need to do... http://bit.ly/2oa5Z6E

Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of Shopify. It's easy to use, it creates clean and professional looking websites, and best of all, it allows those of us who aren't web designers or ultra tech saavy to use their apps to setup affiliate programs, loyalty programs, and roll out other featuers we would probably never be able to do on our own with say a Wordpress website for example. I really don't have many negatives or much bad to say about Shopify. My only real beef with Shopify is their 2% fee they charge if you don't use Shopify payments. Other than that I'm pretty happy with basically everything about Shopify. Some people outside of the USA complain that there's a pretty limited amount of Payment Gateways for them, however that is really only applicable if your not in the USA which I am. In this video I discuss really the only 3 negatives I can think of about Shopify in an effort to give you the good, the bad and the ugly about this potentially payment platform. MERCH INFORMER FREE TRIAL http://bit.ly/2fCWIjb Hey guys, I made a video last week showing you the Merch Informer analytics tool for Amazon Merch t-shirt sellers. One comment I saw come up a number of times was that every single niche you guys were searching was saturated. The problem is your searching broad niches. If you search something like soccer, baseball, football, or weed, they are very broad terms so they are all going to return a search result stating it's an "F" or oversaturated. An interesting thing, as soon as you widen the niche or use a long tail keyword you'll notice these niches you thought were saturated and which scored an "F", will begin to score "A" and "B". In this video I show you how searching soccer scores an F, however if we search Soccer Coach, it scores an A. A term like weed scores an F, however once we change it to "legalize weed" it scores an A. Niche down and use long tail keywords and that is when you will begin finding niches or themes for t-shirts which are not saturated.

What Should I Sell on Amazon FBA? Wondering what items sell good on Amazon FBA? I found a great tool that will help you find product ideas to sell, the site is ReviewKick.com, it's actually a site that hooks up product sellers with reviewers who give free or discounted products in return for Amazon reviews. I found another use for this site though, it's a great place to cheat and see what other Amazon FBA sellers are trying to sell. Not everything on this list is a winner, however these sellers are paying money to give away products and build up reviews so that tells us these are most likely promising products in that the sellers are willing to throw some money behind getting sales rolling. I made another video in which I told you guys how to get free products to review but another great way you can use this site is to find Amazon FBA products to sell yourself.

Hey guys, Rules For Rebels back today with Episode 4 of the new side hustling series Rebels Hustle, we'll be covering the story of a different true real life Entrepreneur every Tuesday and Thursday. We'll be telling their story, what inspired their business idea, where that business is today, and how you can do something similar. In today's story you'll hear about Gabby from Pennsylvania. Gabby has a sales job with a oil and gas company, is a yoga teacher, a group facilitator, a young family, and on top of that managed to create this Pinterest side hustle which brought in over $40,000. Essentially today's side hustle or today's business boils down to being an influencer. Gabby started using Pinterest for fun, and quickly grew a following. She learned brands were eager to pay people like her for access to her audience. After her first month of working with an agency Gabby made over $1,000. She scaled and continued pinning more and over the course of the next 3 years made over $40,000. Now you may be saying 40k over 3 years isn't that much, and I suppose that's true. But keep in mind this is a side hustle to her side hustles. She had a job, she had other side hustles, and this is just something on the side of that. Also keep in mind this is something Gabby enjoys doing and something she would be doing for free anyhow. What's cool about today's side hustle is that almost anyone can do this business. It doesn't require any money, it doesn't require any special skills, it doesn't even require a website. Hope you guys enjoyed todays story and I'll catch you Tuesday for Episdoe 5.

Amazon Product Research Hey guys, excited to tell you about an awesome new and best of all free, Amazon Product Research Tool. It's called Unicorn Smasher, odd name I know, but it's a pretty cool tool. What it does, it allows you to do a search on Amazon for any product or niche. It couldn't be any easier to use, you just click the Unicorn Smasher button at the top of your browser and it instantly pulls up Amazon data such as number of sellers, number of variations, number of sales, Amazon product rank, price, overall revenue, number of reviews, and also whether the item is being fulfilled by the seller or by Amazon FBA. So how does this help you. For example, say I see a hot selling product such as the example given in this video a headband. I see that the seller only has no variations or maybe one or two variations. If this seller is only selling headbands in black and white to me that signals there's probably a demand for more colors or more patterns. I may try to come out with my own line and offer even more color options to appeal to people who want more of a color selection. This is just one example of how this can help you find hot selling Amazon products. It's not quite as detailed as Terapeak is for eBay but it's a pretty cool program. Lastly, before I jet, I just wanted to remind you there's 3 days left in my Terapeak Giveaway I'm doing. We'll be giving away a FREE year long professional subscription as well as a free month long professional subscription. Passive Income - it seems to be the holy grail of making money online. It's what everyone is seeking. I'll be honest, I've been making money online for going on 7 years or so and from day one I've been searching for this mystical passive income where I sit at home doing nothing and watch the money come rolling in. In the back of my mind I always kind of knew this didn't exist but everyday were hit in the face with Clickbank programs and gurus telling us about this magical software or program where for only $47 we can make 5k a week with no effort. I've bought a few of these softwares and programs over the years, most notably the SAM or Super Affiliate Machine which promised to select a niche, write my content and rank it number one on Google. I was sadly disapointed and wound up getting my $47 refunded to me. Though I've always kind of known this didn't exist, I've always been a bit jealous that I really have to bust my but and grind for every penny I make while others allegedly sit on a beach in Thailand getting massages and watching money roll in. Last night I watched an Alex Becker video where he compared trying to get into passive income to trying to lose weight by eating Arby's all day and doing nothing. It's just not going to happen. He also kind of dispelled the myth that people are making huge money doing nothing and never having to adapt or change their business model and never having to put in work again, that just doesn't exist. Despite already knowing this it was nice to have it reinforced by someone such as Alex. Hope you enjoy the video. If you want to check out the blog post I wrote you can read it at... http://rulesforrebels.blogspot.com/2016/04/the-one-and-only-true-form-of-passive.html Also, if you want to check out Alex Beckers video you can do so at the link below... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cwf5aT5aN0

Hey guys, going to be starting a new little series where we make some shorter videos on topics like eCommerce, Entrepreneurship and Cryptocurrencies but instead of me rambling for 30 minutes about everything under the sun we're going to be making shorter videos addressing specific questions. In today's video we're answering a question from DerrickTV about dropshipping. Derrick wanted to know if you can use the customers money to buy the item that your shipping to the customer. One thing I'd like to be really clear on, with dropshipping that's exactly what we're doing, however something I want to state specifically about this is that sometimes when accepting Paypal as the payment method and when you're a new user or new seller using Paypal they will hold your money either for 21 days, or until the buyer has left positive feedback, or confirmed tracking shows the item has been delivered 3 days prior in which case Paypal will release the money for you. The reason I wanted to mention this is if you are selling an item for $40, that item costs you $20 to buy, you will need $20 to initially purchase that item and ship it to the customer. If you don't have $20 to front for the purchase you can't ship the item and as a new seller that money won't be released to you. I've talked to sellers who have been excited to make sales and then had to refund those sales because they didn't have the money to make the purchase for their dropship customer. d Just something to be aware of.

How to pay for Alibaba purchases? And why your Credit Card may be getting declined when you try to pay. So I notice many new importers and sellers are both confused and intimidated when making their first purchase on Alibaba. Alibaba is different from how most of us are used to making online purchases. Unlike sites like eBay, Amazon, and even DHGate and Ali Express, Alibaba is a B2B platform and not a B2C platform. They don't have a shopping cart, and everything from how you pay, to the price of items, to how you want your items shipped and who pays the customs duties is all up for negotiation. While in some ways this leaves you with more flexibility, it can also be intimidating early on in your importing career. In this video we discuss how to pay suppliers, as well as trouble shoot why a credit card being used for purchase may be getting declined. I made this video in response to a comment and question from Mark McCarell who asked... "Explain to me how you pay for the product? Alibaba denies credit cards constantly and doesn't tell you why, wire transfers are extremely expensive, paypal isn't excepted but for a few vendors, and there's no western union close to me."

These days everyone is anxious to get into the Amazon Merch program. It's an Amazing program, it costs nothing to join, and is about as passive as a business can get. You simply create some designs, upload them to Amazon, and Amazon handles the rest and cuts you a check every month for your designs which sell. Talk about a low cost, low time investment, passive business, this is it. While some of you may have some graphic design skills or may even be graphic designers by trade, many of us are not. For those of you like myself who don't know how to use PhotoShop or Adobe Creator and for those of you like me who have zero graphic design skills, you can still make some very nice yet simple text and graphic tee shirts, and it only takes a few minutes. In this video I'm going to show you guys how to use Canva to create simple tee shirt designs with zero graphic design skills or experience. Now there's other programs out there you can do similar stuff with, and there's even some great phone apps like WordSwag and TextSwag but my preferred method is using Canva. In this video we combine multiple design elements to create one tee shirt. If you have a method you use to create shirts feel free to drop a comment in the comments section below and tell us all about it.

How Do I Find Hot Selling Items For eBay, Amazon & Shopify? https://www.terapeak.com?rfsn=188488.9b3d9 Hey guys, thanks for watching. As you know, I make a lot of videos and also provide a service where I provide people with hot selling eBay and Amazon items to sell. I use a variety of tools to find products such as Terapeak, Google Trends, Amazon Hot Selling List, Google Keyword Planner and others. That said one of my favorite programs to do some preliminary research and find some product and category ideas is Terapeak. You can pull real world eBay sales data to find the hottest selling items on eBay. Though Terapeak used to have an Amazon feature I don't believe they do any longer. Regardless, typically this research is also very helpful at finding Amazon and Shopify hot selling items as well.

Private Labeling Clarified Hey guys, so I've made a number of videos about private labeling and the same question seems to be comming up again and again on all the videos. That question being "where do I take my product to get it labeled?" This is my fault for not explaining this concept clearly enough. In this video we explain the process of private labeling, how to find products which can be private labeled, who is it that actually labels the product, etc. So it seems there's a misconception that you go buy your product at say Ali Express and then you send it to or bring it to Bobs Labeling Company to have your brand put on it. That is not the case. The brand/logo is actually put on during the manufacturing process. When you buy from Ali Express your not buying from a manufacture, your buying from a reseller or a trader. They already have the products in their possession and just ship it once you order. Alibaba on the other hand your dealing with manufacturers. The items your ordering are not even made at the time of your order, they are not made until after you pay. Essentially they have the parts or raw materials but don't actually make anything until you order and pay. Because of this your able to either customize the product, customize the materials, change a color of something or add your brand or label to it. Typically if you want your brand put on a product you will need to either meet a specific MOQ or minimum order quantity or sometime they will allow you to do less, but you need to pay for a mold setup or design setup. On a recent product I looked into I didn't meet the MOQ but for $50 they would allow me to label my product. Another kind of workaround is buying a generic product and then getting custom packaging made so your item comes in branded packaging but the actual item is not branded. While better than nothing this technically isn't private labeling and AMazon typically won't step in to help you protect your listing as technically speaking your not selling a unique product your just throwing your product in a box with a name on it. Watch the video and feel free to leave a comment if your left with any questions.

Hey guys, some of you may already be aware of this site, some of you may not. DealExtreme or DX is a chinese ecommerce site very similar to Ali Express or DH Gate. I don't know for sure who was around first Ali Express or DealExtreme however if you do a Google search you can find Warrior Forum threads going all the way back to 2009 or 2010 of people using DX as a dropshipping source. I think it may have even been around before Ali Express although Ali Express has done a superior job of marketing and is the better known of the two. Now for the most part this site is going to be pretty comparable to Ali Express or DH Gate. To me one of the benefits of checking out this site is you may be able to find a few products which aren't available on Ali Express and also because Ali Express is becomming so popular I've noticed a lot of sellers raising their prices. I think checking out this site may help you source products a bit cheaper and if you look long and hard you may be able to find some gems that aren't on Ali Express. Why does this matter or why is this important? Well everyone and their mom is doing Ali Express dropshipping, the competition is getting steep so anything to differentiate yourself is good. Also many buyers are starting to use Ali Express instead of eBay and Amazon as it becomes more mainstream so here's a site that fewer people know about

Why are Alibaba Suppliers Ignoring Me? If your contacting suppliers and not getting any answers back there may be something wrong with the way your contacting suppliers. There are many people who abuse the free sample thing just to get free products, while other people get free samples and never order anything so suppliers have really cut back on their willingness to give free samples. Some suppliers do but generally you will have to pay at the very least the shipping on free samples. You'll also want to seem more experienced and larger than you actually are. If you have an LLC mention your name and say your contacting them on behalf of XYZ Company. If you have a website you plan to sell the product on mention the website. Speak as if you know what your talking about. If you want custom packaging ask for "OEM" not "can you make a package with my name". Lastsly, if you want to start with a small first order, rather than asking if they'll do only a 20 piece order, ask for a 20 piece sample. They will typically fulfill that order even if it's below their MOQ and you can get a small first order and take it from there. So yesterday my girlfriend and I picked up a Kallax shelf from Ikea. While searching for some online tutorials or examples of people putting them together, I was surprised to see them selling on Amazon for over $300, when I only paid $109 for mine. I remembered back to a previous retail arbitrage hustle video I had made where one of my viewers commented that he thought there may be an opportunity to make money with retail arbitrage of Ikea furniture. I didn't look into it at the time, but I remembered this yesterday. I went on Ikea and pretended I was going to order one for myself. To my surprise the shipping cost was $299. Now there aren't that many Ikeas so many people will drive several hours to go to an Ikea store. If you're fortunate enough to live near one this may be an opportunity for you to do a retail arbitrage hustle. Now I didn't get the exact measurements or weight of what this would be to ship, but I estimated high at 80 pounds and got the measurements pretty close. Shipping was pretty cheap only about $115. The cost of the shelf is $109. This means your into this at about $224. I imagine shipping would probably be considerably less as I'm guessing the true shipping weight is about 40 to 60 pounds so probably much cheaper. Even estimating at the very high end however it leaves about $100 profit. Even after eBay or Amazon fees that still leaves about $70, and again, I'm guessing profit will be larger as the shipping will probably be consierably cheaper. For any of you guys who live near an Ikea and are looking to throw together a little side hustle start investigating which Ikea furniture sells best, how much it will cost you to buy it and ship it, and what' it's currently being sold for on eBay or Amazon and you can probably make yourself a few bucks. Here's the item on Ikeas site http://bit.ly/2pUNPai Here's the item on Amazon http://amzn.to/2pUNTH4

In this video we are going to talk about taking a seemingly boring product, but making it appeal to a particular niche. I'm always checking out review exchange sites looking for interesting products and product ideas. I recently saw a tooth fairy pillow. I have a young cousin who's losing teeth so I figured I'd order it for her. When it arrived in the mail it struck me how this item, is basically a 0.30 cent pillow that someone came up with an interesting design for and turned it into a product which appeals to a certain niche, in this case young girls who are losing teeth. Essentially the pillow is just a pillow but they sort of turn it into a fun game of putting your teeth into it, the parent can easily find and take the tooth and leave money. Not only is it just kind of fun but parents like memories and this pillow is a way to create memories like a baby book. Losing teeth can be scary for kids and this turns it into kind of a fun game, and lastly, though I'm not a parent myself family and friends tell me how it can be tough having to sneak around to be santa or the tooth fairy. This makes the job easier in that you can hang this pillow from their door, easily find their teeth and give them money without the risk of them waking up while your doing it. While this particular pillow appeals to girls, I could see comming up with a similar product for boys but making it like a pirate theme for example. The pouch on the back where you put the tooth and money could be made to look like a treasure chest, etc. There's a lot of different directions and themes you could do with this product. The overall idea for this video is what other products which are pretty boring mundane products could we put a twist on and make them more exciting and make them appeal to a particular niche?

Amazon Piggybacking is when you sell on Amazon and instead of setting up your own listing you "piggyback" on an existing Amazon listing. In some instances this is perfectly okay to do, while in other instances the seller has a right to protect their listing and should be the only seller on that listing. In today's video we're going to discuss what Amazon Piggybacking is. When it's okay to be on an existing listing and when it's not okay to do so, and when it will get you in trouble.

If you're into ecommerce you need to signup for shipping accounts with Stamps, Fedex, UPS, and DHL. Reason being your going to save money by having an account over not having an account. Your also going to save money money over printing your shipping through eBay, Amazon, or Shopify. Stamps.Com specifically, also offers more shipping options than eBay, Amazon, etc as they offer regional boxes which can save you upwards of $5 per package. Some other perks of having shipping accounts is with Fedex, by meeting shipping goals ie shipping such and such amount of packages per month I typically get a FREE Amazon gift card for anywhere from $100 to $250 as a perk for hitting my shipping goals and shipping packages through Fedex which is something I would be doing anyhow. In another instance my Fedex rep offered to match a USPS Price of $5.60 on Fedex Express Saver Packages. This basically allowed me to offer a superior, faster, and more reliable shipping option to my customers for the same price as USPS so no brainer there. We all know that eBay almost always sides with the buyers in disputes. Even when the buyer is clearly a scammer or at fault. To some extent this is just the cost of doing business on eBay. I basically build into my margins the fact I know I'm going to be scammed a few times, I know I'm going to have a few lost packages, and I know I'm going to have a few customers claiming they didn't receive packages despite me having a signature proviing they signed for them lol. It's up to you as a seller to determine if the headaches of eBay are worth the profits. To me they are and I continue to sell on eBay. It's important however to understand eBays policies, how to protect yourself from scammers, and every seller should also decide what's the biggest loss they are willing to take. If your not willing to take a $500 loss, don't sell products for $500 or more on eBay as scams and bad buyers can and do happen. What's the highest dollar amount you've ever lost to a bad eBay sale? Let us know in the comments section below...

Hey guys, today's business is a bit different than some of the other businesses we've discussed. Today's business is both a local based business, an offline business, and a service based business. I think many times new entrepreneurs get so hungup in everything going on online, they forget there's a whole world offline that also needs business services. Today's story is about Ryan from Chicago, IL. While working for his father he noticed that his father was paying a direct marketing service to pass out flyers for his business. He was also surprised at how much they were being paid so he looked into the business and wound up starting his own. The beauty of today's hustle is that this business is something any of you could start with little to no money needed. It's something you could start small by yourself, maybe yourself and a buddy or two, but could grow into something much larger. Well guys, that's today's side hustle story. Until next time, Rules for Rebels signing off.

Many of you are curious what your customers will actually receive when you drop ship items from Ali Express. What will the packaging look like? Will it include a packing slip? Will the price be listed? Who will show up as the supplier on the label, etc? In this video I show you two packages which I recently received which were either drop shipped from Ali Express or a China supplier. Either way this packaging is typical of what will be received. As you can see it will list the suppliers info, the customers info, the number of units in the package and the price. Sometimes the price reflects the real price of the item and other times it does not. I would not recommend drop shipping from Ali Express to eBay or Amazon, however doing so to Shopify is completely fine. If you want to automate the process so your products are automatically imported for you, and if you would also like to automate the process of your orders being shipped to your customers checkout Oberlo which does all this. Both Shopify and Oberlo offer FREE 2 week trials. Just click the links below to give this method a test spin comletely free of charge. Hey guys, if you import products from Alibaba chances are you either have or at some point, will have to pay a supplier via Western Union. Ideally Paypal, Credit Card, or even Bankwire is the best options, however many supplies will only take Western Union. I have one particular supplier like this. I have been sending a lot of Western Union transfers lately. The other day I get a call which shows up on my phone as an 800 number and says Western Union in caller ID. They tell me thank you for my business and because of the amount they need to ask me some questions. This isn't totally out of the ordinary as banks and money transfer companies are kind of wierd about large internatioanl transfers. I almost answered some questions for the caller and then thought better of it and said give me a case number or something so I can call back and make sure I'm speaking to Western Union. The rep was very laid back and said no problem and gave me a number and a case number. I happenned to Google the number that showed up on my caller ID and sure enough it was a scam. I know some of you pay suppliers by Western Union so just wanted to give you a heads up. I'm pretty saavy when it comes to scams and stuff and I almost was taken. These scammers are pretty believeable and pretty good at what they do. What really tricked me was that the guy was very low pressure. Anyhow, just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Retail arbitrage is a concept many of you guys are familiar with. Finding cheap items at Walmart or other local stores which you can resell on eBay, Amazon or other platforms for more money. This is a take off on that same concept except this is service arbitrage. You find Fiverr sellers offering cheap services like graphic design, t-shirt design, logo design, website design, etc and resell those services for more money on Craigslist or other platforms. This is something anyone can get started doing. While it can be beneficial to sales to have a basic understanding of the services you are selling, you're outsourcing the work so you really don't need to be skilled in that service. I ramble on for a bit in the video so my apologies but the basic premis is find people looking for work on Craigslist, find someone who can deliver it for a fraction of their budget for the job and hire someone else to do it and pocket the difference. Anyhow can get started doing this with zero outlay of money.

Merch Informer 3 Day Trial & 10% Off w/ Code "RulesForRebels" https://merchinformer.com/105.html In this video were going to be talking about why you may be having trouble selling Amazon Merch shirts. With the growing popularity of programs like Merch Informer and other analytic tools, I think it can get to the point where if were all using the same research tools and targeting the best selling niches and designs, we all wind up targeting the same topics and you wind up with 990 people selling "Kindergarten Stud" shirts, competing for the same 64 buyers. In this video I briefly talk about how targeting lower selling shirts and mixing or crossing niches can be a good way to seperate yourself from the pack. ********************************** Business Inquiries, Sponsor a Video, or Just Wanna Say What's Up... Hey guys, back again with Side Hustle Thursdays Episode 10 where every Tuesday and Thursday we bring you true stories of real life Entrepreneurs who started a side hustle outside of their 9 to 5 job. I think you guys are going to like today's story. Today's story is about Amanda, a womanwho enjoyed cooking, and was on a Ketogenic diet. Ketogenic is similar to Paleo but is even stricter as there is no carbs, no starches, and no sugar. Amanda started posting her recipes to a personal blog. She had no intention of turning it into a commercial project or trying to make money from it. She simply did it to organize and keep track of her recipes she would cook for her family. Being that her day job was in content marketing she couldn't help but to snazz the site up a bit and and add an e-mail optin/signup. A few months past and one day out of the blue she realized she had over 3,000 e-mail subscribers. Still she didn't think much of it and went on with her life. After a few more months she noticed the e-mail list had grown to 6,000 and at this point she could ignore it no longer. On a whim she sent out an e-mail saying she was thinking about rolling out a Ketogenic Cookbook and asked her e-mail subscribers if any of them would be interested in pre-ordering the book. To her surprise she had over $1,000 in pre-orders that first day. Amanda worried customers would be asking for refunds, or that she would be called out as a fraud, but to her surprise the cookbook was a hit and she got all kinds of positive messages from her blog readers and those who bought the book. A few months later a publisher contacted her and turned it into a printed paper book as opposed to just an e-Book. Now Amanda could probably grow this business larger, but she's happy with her day job and the side hustle and wants to keep them both. So let's break down this side hustle. Amanda basically created an eBook, this can be done as simply as creating a list of recipes in Microsoft Word, adding a few photos and a description of each recipe and the ingredients, and then turning it into a PDF file and uploading it to either the Amazon KDP marketplace or in the case of Amanda, Gumroad where she sold and delivered the product herself. One interesting thing about recipes, a list of ingredients ie a recipe, cannot be copyrighted. A photo of a recipe can, a description of a recipe can, but the actual recipe cannot. This means you can literally go around and cherry pick recipes from existing cookbooks, recreate the recipe, do a small writeup describing the recipe, and get your own photos to accompany each recipe and you can package that into a book and re-sell it. I can't make this any more clear to you guys. Anyone wanting to start a side hustle like this, if you know how to search the internet, type, and create a PDF file you can literally do this exact side hustle. I would suggest settlin

Hey guys, when Amazon Merch opened it's doors back up to new members a while back I was quick to apply right away. I think it took me just shy of two weeks to be accepted. I've been hearing via comments and e-mail however that the wait times are 3-4 months, sometimes as long as 6 months. In this video we share a few tips on how to try to speed up the process. 1. If Amazon announces it's accepting new members APPLY RIGHT AWAY!!! 2. Make sure to include a website or blog on your application. It shows Amazon you have a platform to drive sales. 3. If you've been waiting longer than a month or two click the contact us button on the bottom of the Merch Page. Email Amazon and tell them how much you like the program, how excited you are to get in and how you plan on promoting shirts and asked to be expedited. No gurantees but it could help. Drop a comment below guys let me and others know how long its taking these days to get accepted or how long it took you.

I get a lot of messages, e-mails and comments from people who are looking to get started in e-commerce but either don't have the money to buy inventory or aren't yet confident enough to spend money to get in. For those of you who find yourself in this situation I have 3 solutions for you. These solutions can get you started either for FREE or with very little money out of pocket. Affiliate Marketing Affiliate Marketing is a great way to get started. Affiliate marketing is selling other peoples products. You don't need to order any inventory, you don't need a payment processor, you dont need to handle customer support. All you do is promote someone else's product and send traffic their way and you get paid. What I love about affiliate marketing is you can get started without spending a penny. Just setup a FREE Google Blogger blog/website, a Youtube Channel and start promoting products. If your successful in doing so you can not only use some of the money you earn to buy your own inventory, you also already have some sales and marketing infrastructure in place to sell your own stuff once you order inventory. Drop Shipping Drop Shipping is another business you can start with little to no money upfront. Now in the past I've been a bit pessimistic about drop shipping. Mainly because so many people enter drop shipping in such a half ass manner. They find a product on Amazon and then list it on eBay. By the time they finally sell and item and go to order it from the Amazon seller they find it's not in stock or the price has risen above what they sold it for and they wind up harming their eBay account by cancelling orders or selling items at a loss. If properly planned out drop shipping isn't a bad business. Drop shipping is another way to test a market before investing a lot of money into it. If you have success with drop shipping you can easily start buying your own inventory and transitioning your business from a drop shipping business to a self fulfilled business. Cheap Products This last method isn't so much an alternative to e-commerce as wanting to point out to you it doesn't require as much money as you probably think to get started. You don't have to shell out $10,000 for inventory. There's plenty of cheap items on Ali Express, DHGate, etc you can order for under a buck. Tons of products for around $0.25 cents if not cheaper. At those prices you can buy 100 pieces of inventory for $25. I'm sure many of you can cutout your Starbucks Coffee or a dinner out for a week to invest in yourself and your business. worst case scenario even if your items don't sell your only out $25. I regularly order cheap inventory on a weekly basis just to test new products, markets and niches. If it sells great I scale up and if it doesn't sell oh well I'm only out $20. Hope these 3 Tips Help You Get Started!!!!

Hey guys, we have some pretty big news today, people have been speculating about this for a while. Amazon Merch rolled out a new program which allows Merch sellers to run sponsored ads for their shirts through Amazon Marketing Services (AMS) Now people have been doing this all along through a workaround with Amazon Vendor Express and AMS, however it was kind of a complicated process and many people including myself were never able to get it to work. Now I've heard mixed things, I"ve heard some people had a lot of success with this and I've heard others said they spent more on ads than they made. Why this is pretty big news is rather than this being a not that well known workaround, Amazon is actually making an advertising program specifically for Merch sellers so I think were going to see the number of people running sponsored ads really spike which theoretically will make ads cost more. This like most things with Amazon is being rolled out on a rolling basis. I was quite surprised I was admitted into this program in the first wave, I got my code today. I also saw The Thrift Shop Hustler and Merch Unversity also got in. It feel like this is a pretty wide rollout, by that I mean I think more people probably got this right away than Pop Sockets and the reason for that is this is a money maker for Amazon, this is going to make Amazon more money. My personal thoughts on this. I'm going to try it out initially to see if it works. If I can pay a few bucks but make more sales and earn the ad money plus some back then awesome. More than likely I think this is going to be a break even or even a losing proposition. My plan is to try to do it early on before everyone else gets to it, make some sales while ads are still cheap, hopefully give myself a boost organically with those sales and then drop out and stop paying for ads once everyone starts flooding in. What's your take on this? ********************************** Business Inquiries, Sponsor a Video, or Just Wanna Say What's Up... Hey guys, today my business partner and I attended Damond John's Success Formula seminar in Joliet, IL, so wanted to do a quick review as well as tell you guys kind of what you can expect from this if you attend it. I should mention we attended the FREE seminar which is a couple hours long and is an upsell to another paid seminar which lasts a whole weekend. My business partner had seen a Facebook Ad promoting this event so we decided to check it out. We headed out to a hotel in Joliet, IL, there's actually another two seminars tomorrow downtown Chicago if anyone is in the area and wants to attend. The free seminar wasn't all sales pitch, they did give some motivation as well as some interesting tips and tricks and info for entrepreneurs and business owners. Alot of the stuff was more motivation and big picture stuff which I already know and have already heard countless times but to a new entrepreneur I would definately say there's some words of wisdom. I actually learned a few things myself as well and it also gave me a differnet way of looking at myself as a personal brand so that was worthwhile. As far as the actual course throughout the talk they talk about how it's $5,000. At the end they tell you Daymond's all about making deals so today only for $1997 you and a guest can attend. Now again just to be clear I actually havn't attended the paid course so I can't review that but in terms of what you'll get you sit through some talks and seminars but you also get a chance to work with Daymond John and his team, you get some one on one sessions with them, they talk about branding, marketing, social media, they teach you about how to source products from overseas, talk about Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, eCommerce, etc. The one thing I will say is I was a little confused at what the target was in terms of the topic or subject matter of the course. They talked about enterepreneurship but also talked about cryptocurrency, stock trading, real estate investing, retail arbitrage and Amazon FBA so I was a little confused what the core message or teaching the real course was supposed to be all about. Now I mentioned cryptocurrency as well, the speaker talked about crypto, however the rest of the course doesn't seem to be that much about crypto so I kind of got the impression they were just throwing it out there because it's a buzz word, I actually asked if they accepted payment in crypto and was told no :( Anyhow, is it worthwhile? I suppose that's for you to decide. Knowledge is very valuable, but it's what you do with that knowledge that matters. I think potentially some of the contacts and resources you get from attending the paid seminar may be worth their weight in gold, however not having attended I can't really comment on that. At the end of the day some people are going to say any expensive educational materials are a scam and others are going to find them valuable. I'll say this, Youtubers who IMHO don't really warrant the money charge thousands of Dollars to teach people so at least here you have a real entrepreneur with a track record of success not only teaching you but providing you with resources so from that perspective I feel like it's probably halfway decent. Anyhow, that was kind of what my experience was and my take on the course. If you 've actually attended one of the weekend long paid seminars I'd love to hear from you what you thought, drop a comment in the comments section below...
