Legit Chinese Graphics Cards? Hands on with the Yeston 3GB GTX 1060

09:26
"Made in China" is something that's seen in a lot of products, and most people are okay with it. It sometimes carry a negative connotation, and really depends on the product. For cheaper and lower tech items it's not that big of a deal. Even things like generic action cameras and other mainstream electronics from China are generally accepted and sometimes quite popular. But what about higher end PC components? Like the GPU? I got a chance to check out a GPU from Yeston, a brand based in China I've never heard of. There is virtually no coverage of any of these cards online. Note, these are still Nvidia GPUs, the manufactures just equip it with custom coolers, PCBs, clock profiles, etc. I tested the Chinese card and compared it to an equivalent card I've used from one of the big US based brands. This video summarizes my findings and thoughts. Would you ever consider a Chinese GPU? Best GTX 1070 Deal EVER - Craigslist Ride Along #6 (Ok, maybe not EVER, but still pretty good)

09:29
That's it, next video I'm going back to manual focus. This auto-focus stuff (even with a small focus box set to my head) keeps going all wonky and causing the video blur in and out too much. Sorry about that everyone :( I've commented before that I typically don't buy high end graphics cards because I don't need that much power, I'm happy playing on 1080p/high settings. GTX 1070s are pretty expensive and considered high end. I bought one. This video is the story of how and why it happened. Super Cheap GPU Pickup - Craigslist Ride Along #5

09:31
This is one of the more questionable Craigslist transactions I've had. It's the first time I was met with this much resistance when trying to test out a component before buying it (I wasn't actually going to test it, I just wanted to get a confirmation to be able to test it to scare a potential scammer away). Let's see what I end up getting and why I go against my own advice in this ride along. *Apologies for the shakiness of the footage, seems I've been out of practice doing Craigslist Ride Alongs. The Gtx 770 is Four Years Old but Still Awesome - Craigslist Ride Along #8

09:36
I have a mental list of favorite budget GPUs. At the top of that list is the Radeon HD 7950, one of the best bang for buck value cards on the used market (well, until the cryptocurrency mining crazy came about). Coming in at a pretty close second, hailing from team green, is the GTX 770. If you're looking to game at 1080p on high and have around $300-350 for your entire build then you should consider this card and look to pay around $80 (bonus points if you can find it for less). If you are interested in this card and want more in depth benchmarks for it, this video will not contain that. This is part of my "Craigslist Ride Along" series where I show examples of picking up great deals to encourage others to look at their local listings to do the same. There are plenty of articles and videos with benchmarks of the GTX 770 you should check out, as you should with most hardware before making a purchasing decision. Mailing Address: P.O. Another Craigslist Ride Along! This time we go into downtown Seattle to pick up a GTX 1080. I was originally looking for a GTX 1070 but had to resort to the 1080 because of the current state of GPU prices and cryptocurrency madness. Let's Unbox It Together! (2x Long Box Edition)

09:36
Hey everyone, this is the next mass unboxing video! Usually YouTubers do this to showcase their awesome, brand new tech and hardware, but I try to put a different spin on it and show you some used deals I came across and discuss prices to look for. The prices in this video for the most part reflect "good" used prices, they're not screaming deals, but they're prices that you should be able to go out and find without too much trouble. If you want much lower prices then prepare yourself to play the waiting game :) Noobed it up a few ways this video, apologies ahead of time for the following!: 1) Huge amounts of echo from the living room 2) At some points in the video Zapdos comes in and causes all sorts of static mess in my audio 3) I mistakenly clamped my mic arm down to the table with the boxes on it, causing loud heavy bass to be picked up every time I touched the table or set a box down on it. Flipping a Sub $300 Craigslist PC for Profit - The Great PC Flip-Off of 2016

13:19
Oafah's part of the competition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnRTI298cE8&feature=youtu.be In this video I go head to head against Oafah to see who can make the largest profit flipping a used Craigslist PC (without ripping people off, of course). Craigslist PC flipping is an awesome way to make money and get your hands on a lot of different hardware without ever really spending money (think of it more like putting a refundable deposit down). Although we don't do it in this competition, it's also great for mixing and matching hardware; you buy a build, take out what you want, substitute it for stuff you already have and need to get rid of, sell it, and BAM, everyone wins in the end. Hope you guys enjoy this friendly competition and get some good insight about how to effectively deal hunt for used hardware. Oafah's info below, be sure to check him out! Used GTX 780 Pickup - Craigslist Ride Along #11: Hawaii Edition

DSLR Backpack in the video: http://amzn.to/2EXi7Rd This is the first ever Craigslist Ride Along that took place while I was traveling. Apologies for the shaky footage, I didn't realize the "image stabilization" setting was off on the camera. Also, the footage is super zoomed in because the lens used is fixed length and I didn't realize would be so close in the car xD For those new to my channel, this series was made to document the people I meet and interactions I have using Craigslist (among other local classified ads), with an emphasis on the used computer hardware market. The $35 Velocifire VM01 Budget Mechanical Keyboard / Zorro Brown Switches

08:25
After FOUR years of using the same keyboard day in and day out (the Razer Black Widow) I've finally found a bought a new one I thoroughly enjoy. Let's be honest, I probably would have found another one much sooner if I wasn't so cheap, but in this video I discuss why I made the switch to the Velocifire VM01 and why you may be interested in it as well. I am in no way affiliated/sponsored by Velocifire for the content in this video. I made this review on my own accord based on my experience with their product. Plus I paid for this keyboard out of my own pocket so best believe I'm going to give my honest opinion about it. I actually bought a second one at full price to give as a gift to someone, so no biases here, I just like their product and want to spread the word. $30-35 Water Resistant Mechanical Keyboard - EasternTimes Tech I-500 [Tomoko/PicTek 87 Key]

This entire video sounds like I've got some hard candy in my mouth LOL. The surgery scars have not fully gone away yet and my mouth was still a bit swollen during the video so apologies for that. That's also why it looks like my lips are chapped beyond belief, I have to wear a retainer which makes me a mouth breather so my lips have been horribly chapped and bleeding. The Sub $300 Budget Editing and Gaming PC (FX 8320 + HD 7870 /w Benchmarks)

12:01
This is the latest build that I put together for a friend of mine who was in dire need of a better computer. His main use for it will be video editing but he will be doing some gaming on the side. I had parts on hand ready to go that would fit his budget of $300 or less and was able to assemble, benchmark, and hand it off to him within less than 48 hours of starting the build. I mention this because in the video you'll see this lack of time limited my ability to benchmark everything I wanted to. I use some older parts in this build but don't be fooled, they're still very relevant for the budget-oriented user even now in the first part of 2017 with Ryzen around the corner. Let's check it out! Parts in the build: CPU: AMD FX 8320 (Used) Mobo: MSI 970A-G46 (Used) RAM: 2x4 GB DDR3 HyperX Fury, 1866 MHz (Used) OS: Windows 10 Professional, 64 Bit GPU: Power Color PCS+ 7870, 2 GB (Used) HDD: 160 GB Hitatchi HDD (built for a friend that already had hard drives, just needed this to install the OS and benchmark with) (Used) PSU: Seasonic SS-600ET, 600W Bronze Rated (New) Case: Rosewill Galaxy-01 (New) Total Cost: $283.93 Anandtech comparison of the FX 8320 against a similarly priced i5 2400: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/698?vs=363 If you're shopping for anything on Amazon, you can use this link to support my channel via Amazon affiliates as well, it costs nothing extra to you and helps me out: http://amzn.to/2acMPuf Mailing Address: P.O. Hey what's up everyone! This is a vlog style video where I prepare and pack for a LAN party with my friends. LANing with my buds is one of my favorite things to do in the entire world, and we take this seriously, so a lot goes into prepping and planning for our LAN parties. How To Fix Your Broken Laptop Charger Tip On The Cheap

LAN Party Stories - Spring 2016 - Part 2 of 2

23:06
Watch part 1 first if you haven't seen it yet. You can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZs4MvgJ708 This video is part 2 of LAN Party Stories - Spring 2016! Hope you guys enjoy it, it took FOREVER to edit with so much footage: there's the syncing of gameplay footage, webcam footage, and audio. I still need to work out audio for future videos, the mic gain has to be increased by a lot because it sits in the middle of the room in attempts to pick up everyone's voice and the noise gets out of control. Add that with having to normalize all the different voices that come in at different levels and compressing it, etc, it was just a nightmare. I did the best I could, and it should improve from here on out as I do this more and learn more tricks. This video is longer than the usual content since it covers 3 days worth of gaming. If you've never LAN'd before, let me know down below if it's something that you'd totally want to do with your friends. If you have before, lemme know what is familiar to you and what was completely different from your norm. RivaTuner vs NZXT Cam - Which On Screen System Monitoring Should You Use?

08:48
Happy New Year everyone! In this video my friend and fellow YouTuber Lee from CompTV takes a look at two popular on screen display software used for system monitoring. I've personally been using MSI Afterburner with RivaTuner ever since I can remember. NZXT Cam is a competing program offering a sleeker UI and some may say it's more intuitive and user friendly. This video aims to look at the two programs and discuss the pros and cons of both so you can decide for yourself what to use (Note that there are other programs out there but these are the two programs we personally use and the two most common programs we've seen around the internet). Let us know down below what program you use (or are planning to use) and why! I want to give a huge thanks to Lee for filling in while I'm gone. I gave him complete freedom to produce the video however he wished because I have the utmost confidence in his capabilities. For a smaller channel he creates really high quality content and has a genuine enthusiasm and personality that resonated with me. At the time of this being published I also have not seen the video (I uploaded it blind) so I will be watching it for the first time with all of you! Be sure to check out Lee's channel and social media! https://www.youtube.com/comptvlee https://twitter.com/_comptv Tutorial on how to set up MSI Afterburner + Rivatuner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9inR9d6Yd9U&t Mailing Address: P.O. Many thanks to her for allowing me to do that and for letting me squat with my entire rig in her room for the last few weeks :) 2) I said previously that the budget build would be out end of August/start of September, but since this build will tie in other YouTubers, it had to be pushed back a bit due to coordination and schedule issues, but it works out because I can release these two prequels before hand 3) Well, that was a short list. Need one more item. Ummm, thanks for watching :) and lemme know down below if this might be something you'd want to see more of outside of this specific budget build Follow me on Twitter if you haven't yet for updates between videos! https://twitter.com/nerdonabudget Music by: ManKarate https://soundcloud.com/mankarate

Aukey KM-G3 RGB Mechanical Keyboard Review (Brushed Metal, Slim Footprint, Outemu Blue Switches)

08:58
Mechanical keyboards are currently in a state of RGB CRAZE. Many companies are hopping on the RGB hype train and competing to lower the cost of their products which means the consumers win, YAY! I wasn't always a fan of RGB and thought it was just another reason for products to cost more but recently I've been seeing the utility of being able to match with any color scheme without having to buy brand new products. Aukey is a familiar company to me, but their keyboards are not, so let's see if the KM-G3 is worth it in this video. Prebuilt OEM PCs and PCI-E Slot Powered GPUs Compatibility (Dell Optiplex 990 + RX 460 560 = NOPE)

10:23
I wanted to take a moment and discuss an issue I ran into doing the good ol "buy a cheap prebuilt machine and throw in a PCI-E slot powered GPU." My personal experience was with the Dell Optiplex 990 and a Power Color Red Dragon RX 460 2GB. I wanted to share some of the findings I came across, and if you have any knowledge on similar issues with other prebuilt models of different brands please share down in the comments below! -First off. Why are my lips so red in this video? -Second, sorry for the continued delay of the next build! -Third, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Or, I guess, in this case, when life gives you a PC problem, make a video about it xD Posts regarding Optiplex and RX 460 issues: https://community.amd.com/thread/214789 https://community.amd.com/thread/211868 https://community.amd.com/thread/214187 Dell PCIe 35W Limit: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3177179/watt-limit-pcie.html Tech Deals on Twitter discussing similar issues: https://twitter.com/TechDeals_16/status/867654027852603393 Budget Build Showdown Optiplex with GTX 660 (no issues): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKhWLpuZoyU Optiplex with R9 290X (no issues): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=az__-asNpLc Mailing Address: P.O. How to Get Windows 10 for FREE (Unactivated, 100% Free and Legal, No Pirating)

16:08
In this video I go through how to get unactivated Windows 10 onto a freshly assembled system. Afterward I talk about some frequently asked questions surrounding Windows keys in general and open it up to you all for discussion regarding why Microsoft isn't more strict about this as much as they have been in the past. Link to the media creation tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 Great video by Lee of comptv showing how to optimize Windows 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hdb4iybN8gg& Disclaimer: I own multiple legitimate copies of Windows that I use on my personal daily use computer (keys I've bought when I was in college through my school as well as keys I have bought directly from Microsoft with discounts). I am showing this to people as an alternative to pirating and grey market sellers to get them started with some form of an OS if they cannot afford to pay for Windows. Whether or not they determine it's worth paying down the line when they do get more money is up to them. Mailing Address: P.O. Building a $650 Gaming PC (Ryzen 5 1400 + GTX 1060, Mixed New/Used Parts)

10:41
BENCHMARKS OF BUILD HERE: https://youtu.be/30MG1jo4efY This is a build I put together for my step-brother who is currently on a AMD Phenom II X4 955 + GTX 660 system. This is gonna be a HUGE upgrade for him. The prices were good on most of the parts considering the major components were bought brand new, but the culprits of high prices are definitely the GPU and RAM. While these two components are terribly priced in the current market they were still bought in some form of a sale/discount. I looked to the used market and found nothing (people are wanting $180 for a GTX 970s in my area and the $130 or so for 16GB of used RAM). Either way, hope you guys enjoy the build sequence! If you're a person thats finds building in silence eerie, feel free to play whatever music of your choice in the background while watching :) The target gaming performance for this build was 1080p at high to ultra settings depending on the title. Due to the 3GB VRAM, I wouldn't say this build is 1440p ready except for in lighter titles or if you're ok with fps below 60. Parts in the build, all prices include taxes and shipping costs: [CPU, NEW, Ebay] AMD Ryzen 5 1400 - $140 [Mobo, NEW, Newegg] AsRock AB350M - $60 [GPU, NEW, Newegg] Gigabyte GTX 1060 (3GB) + Rocket League - $190 [RAM, NEW, Newegg] GeIL EVO SPEAR 16GB DDR4 - $130 [PSU, Used, EVGA.com] EVGA B-Stock 600W - $20 [Case, Used, Craigslist] Corsair Carbide Air 240 - $40 [Fans, NEW, Amazon] AsiaHorse RGB Fans x4 - $50 [HDD, Used, Craigslist] 1TB Drive - $20 (Putting this in to make it a "complete" build list, my step-brother actually has drives from his current system that he will be transferring over) [OS, Free] Windows 10 Pro (Unactivated) TOTAL: $650 Link to RGB Fans: https://t.co/lMQPJVx6KK Mailing Address: Danny Le P.O. Originally I wanted to make a silent build process video for this, but it was nearly impossible due to the amount of footage I had. I started to cut down the 10 hours of footage I had and after several hours I still had more than 2 hours of footage left. There was no way I was getting it down to 15-20 minutes, so I did the next best thing.
