No dogs! words for the story: It was half past three and Katie had just finished school. Her mum was waiting at the gates withJessie, the dog. "Can we go to the park with Jaia, Mum?" said Katie. "Alright, we can go for half and hour," said Mum. When they got to the park, Katie and Jaia ran towards the swings and slides. "Come on!" shouted Katie, "Let's see how high we can go on the swings!" "You can't come in here, Jess!" shouted Katie and Jaia. Mum took Jessie over to the bench and tiedhim to it. She sat down and started to read the paper. "Did you have a nice time?" Mum asked. "Yes, it was brilliant! I went the highest!" said Katie. "No, I went the highest," said Jaia. "Come on, we need to take you home," said Mum. That night, Jessie couldn't sleep. He was thinking about the park. Quietly, he got of his basket and walked downstairs. He squeezed through the cat flap -- he was outside! He ran towards the park. Soon Jessie was at the park. He walked towards the swings. The gate was open. He went through and looked around...the playground was full of dogs! Jessie climbed up the ladder, went down the slide, whizzed round on the roundabout, went up and down on the see-saw, bounced on the springy, and went up and down on the swing. "Wooooof!" barked Jessie. He went as high as he could on the swing. Soon it was time to go. Jessie got off the swing, went through the gate and walked back home. He squeezed through the cat-flap, walked upstairs and got into his basket. He looked at Katie. "I went the highest," thought Jessie. And went to sleep. LDC Driving Lesson 1 - Main hand controls - key learning points

03:14
Part of the revolutionary LD System of learning to drive. this video explains the main hand controls of the car. The video is used in conjunction with LDC driving skills workbook to learn to drive. These resources together with guidance from an expert LDC driving instructor provide one of the most effective and efficient ways to learn to drive and become a safe driver for life. Too many driving instructors focus too much attention on telling their pupils what to do and what to think! This approach only fosters dependency, doubt and blind obedience, such that once the test is passed they do all the things they were told not to do. The LDC approach is designed to foster self-reliance, confidence and responsibility resulting in safer drivers who learn to drive far more quickly and thoroughly. Unlike traditional instruction LDC heavily promotes student centred learning. This involves the student being encouraged to take more responsibility for their own development by using the LD System materials before and after each lesson and by using discovery learning with self determination and reflection rather than being told what to do by the instructor. In particular talk through instruction, prompted practice and long winded explanations are avoided, if at all possible - instead encouraging the student to work it out for themselves. If you would like to learn this way visit: https://www.learnerdriving.com If you want to see a wide range of videos on learning to drive, the theory test and the driving test please look at our YouTube TV channel click LDCDrivingSchools above or the link below: http://www.youtube.com/user/LDCDrivingSchools Click on the link below to see the full playlist of videos in this series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3jk0-bWB5k&list=PLvdXEP6RODXwvHkvawbgS1y-IH6J8cJyJ&index=1 Copyright message The contents of this video are the copyright of Teaching Driving Limited. English for Agriculture Video 3 lowland farming

full lesson at: http://englishforag.blogspot.com/2011/03/english-for-agriculture-unit-2-lowland_22.html Instructor from IBE ingles garantizado does a reading exercise "lowland farming" Instructor de IBE ingles garantizado hace un ejercicio de lectura, "lowland farming" (agricultura costeña). Lowland rice is the most important crop in most parts of Asia. Farmers level the land and build bunds to hold water. They flood the fields with water and plow to get rid of weeds and to puddle the soil to prevent the water from seeping away. They transplant rice seedlings, weed the fields and finally, harvest the grain. Irrigation is vital for high yields. Most rice is grown in the lowlands because there is enough water, fertile soil and level land. Plowing, transplanting Lowland rice is the most important crop in most parts of Asia. Farmers level the land and build bunds to hold water. They flood the fields with water and plow to get rid of weeds and to puddle the soil to prevent the water from seeping away. They transplant rice seedlings, weed the fields and finally, harvest the grain, weeding and harvesting all take a lot of work. Soil fertility varies from place to place, but lowland soils tend to be more fertile than in the uplands. Traditional methods produce relatively low yields of rice. Farmers also grow crops on the bunds and keep fish in the paddies. They collect frogs, shellfish and snails that grow naturally in the rice fields. Over the centuries, farmers have selected and planted rice seeds that yield well, resist pests and diseases, and taste good. Traditional farming uses many different varieties of rice. Icebreakers & Warm-Up Activities - "Line Up"

01:02
http://eslinsider.com/how-to-teach-english-videos/warm-up-icebreakers Learn more icebreakers & warm up activities at the link above. "Line Up" is a great icebreaker to use for the first day. You can always modify the questions to suit your needs too. This was filmed in a public school in Changwon, Korea. I usually taught kids, but one day a week I taught one class with adults. The adults above were parents of the children I taught. Except for the one closest to me facing you with the glasses. She was my co-teacher. I am really happy I don't work with her any more. It was kinda fun teaching adults for a little variety. You can talk with them sometimes more about stuff. Then other times not really as some can be kinda closed. I generally prefer teaching kids. They're just more fun and free. Check at the site for more icebreakers, warm-up activities and more on teaching English in Asia. _____________________________________________________ ESLinsider serves up fresh resources for ESL teachers: how-to videos, online TEFL courses, interviews with ESL teachers in Asia, ebooks and a blog. ENGLISH LESSON - 5 random words.

06:34
A new English of everything lesson number 12 about 5 random pieces of vocabulary taken from a book. The reason I am doing these free online English lessons is that I would like to be able to help some ESL learners learn the language that I was fortunate enough to be born with. Due to the Global spread of English throughout the business, media and advertising worlds it is now of more vital importance then ever before that people all around the world are able to speak a common language to be able to communicate effectively and work towards a common goal. I hope I can help you improve your vocabulary, grammar, knowledge of idioms, phrasal verbs, pronunciation and many other aspects of the English language by using something I have picked up on my travels.... I have my life experience........ My main activity in life is music..I am a drummer and have been in bands that have been successful and travelled a lot and I've been to many different places, met many different people and seen many different things, all of which have shaped me and make me who I am. I have also lived and taught English In Cambodia, England and the Czech Republic. As well as this I have done many other different jobs like working in a factory making car washes when I was 17, driving brand new sports cars around the UK and delivering them to the owners (belive me it gets boring very quickly), office jobs all over London, bar work all over London as well, in all sorts of places from expensive vip clubs to dirty crackhead gang hangouts, making huge chrismas decorations for the city of Prague and just about everything inbetween. But it's now teaching that I love. I began teaching on a chance trip to Cambodia and figured it's a good way to travel and make money. I now live in the Czech Republic with my beautiful wife, daughter and dog. I now teach for Government ministries, multi national companies, consultancy firms, and legal offices as well as a host of private students who I enjoy being around. I also have a couple of bands here and have found the perfect country to play many festivals in the summer, tour in the spring and autumn and spend the winter snowboarding in the mountains!!! For sure I have a lucky life which is why I would like to share something I have with others.
