James explains: http://bit.ly/1Pzy1k5 ____________ European economies were so closely connected that some people expected they have to avoid another world war or destroy their finances, but in fact World War I had taught them how to prepare for just such a scenario. Germany, France, and Great Britain all invested in their military before war broke out. When evaluating these economies to see how war would affect them, we look at four main factors: GDP, population, territorial extent, and per capita income. Broadly, this helps us determine how resilient, expansive, self-sufficient, and developed a nation is. All of those factors determine how a nation must conduct its war. For example, the vast territorial holdings of the British Empire meant that they had vast resources to draw upon but needed a long time to mobilize them, which helped Germany determine that they needed to strike fast and win big if they hoped to win the war before Britain's full resources came into play. Japan also estimated that they could win a war in the Pacific if they managed to win before the US had been involved for more than 6 months. These calculations drove the early strategies of the Axis powers, but the participation of the US would later prove to be a crucial factor. ____________ BONUS! Leela Zero is a free and open-source computer Go software released on 25 October 2017. It is developed by Belgian programmer Gian-Carlo Pascutto,[1][2][3] the author of chess engine Sjeng and Go engine Leela.[4][5] Leela Zero's algorithm is based on DeepMind's 2017 paper about AlphaGo Zero.[3][6] Unlike the original Leela, which has a lot of human knowledge and heuristics programmed into it, Leela Zero only knows the basic rules and nothing more.[7] Leela Zero is trained by a distributed effort, which is coordinated at the Leela Zero website. Members of the community provide computing resources by running the client, which generates self-play games and submits them to the server. The self-play games are used to train newer networks. Generally, over 500 clients have connected to the server to contribute resources.[7] The community has provided high quality code contributions as well.[7] Leela Zero finished third at the BerryGenomics Cup World AI Go Tournament in Fuzhou, Fujian, China on 28 April 2018.[8] Additionally, in early 2018 the same team branched Leela Chess Zero from the same code base, also to verify the methods in the AlphaZero paper as applied to the game of chess. AlphaZero's use of Google TPUs was replaced by a crowd-sourcing infrastructure and the ability to use graphics card GPUs via the OpenCL library. Even so, it is expected to take a year of crowd-sourced training to make up for the dozen hours that AlphaZero was allowed to train for its chess match in the paper.[9] Info about Alphazero: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AlphaZero AlphaZero is a computer program developed by the Alphabet-owned AI research company DeepMind, which uses an approach similar to AlphaGo Zero's to master not just Go, but also chess and shogi. On December 5, 2017 the DeepMind team released a preprint introducing AlphaZero, which, within 24 hours, achieved a superhuman level of play in these three games by defeating world-champion programs, Stockfish, elmo, and the 3-day version of AlphaGo Zero, in each case making use of custom tensor processing units (TPUs) that the Google programs were optimized to make use of.[1] AlphaZero was trained solely via "self-play" using 5,000 first-generation TPUs to generate the games and 64 second-generation TPUs to train the neural networks, all in parallel, with no access to opening books or endgame tables. After just four hours of training, DeepMind estimated AlphaZero was playing at a higher Elo rating than Stockfish; after 9 hours of training, the algorithm decisively defeated Stockfish 8 in a time-controlled 100-game tournament (28 wins, 0 losses, and 72 draws).[1][2][3] The trained algorithm played on a single machine with four TPUs. ... Relation to AlphaGo Zero Further information: AlphaGo Zero AlphaZero (AZ) is a more generalized variant of the AlphaGo Zero (AGZ) algorithm, and is able to play shogi and chess as well as Go. Differences between AZ and AGZ include:[1] AZ has hard-coded rules for setting search hyperparameters. The neural network is now updated continually. Go (unlike Chess) is symmetric under certain reflections and rotations; AlphaGo Zero was programmed to take advantage of these symmetries. AlphaZero is not. Chess can end in a draw unlike Go; therefore AlphaZero can take into account the possibility of a drawn game. AlphaZero vs. Stockfish and elmo ... ►If you like my chess videos please consider become a full member here at my Chessworld Site. http://www.chessworld.net/chessclubs/asplogin.asp?from=1053 #KCChess #LeelaChess #LeelaZero #NeuralNetwork #AI #chess #chessgame #chesstactics

ARK: Extinction - How to Craft Enforcer & Where to find resources ???

19:57
ARK: Extinction - How to Craft Enforcer & Where to find resources ??? The map appears as if it was laden in the future, overgrown with sci-fi and nature. A shattered moon floats high above Earth's red, swollen sky. A variety of strange, mutated plants, most red or orange, grow among the rocks of the barren wasteland. Corrupted Spires made of corrupt Element appear to be the source of the Corrupted Creatures roaming the land. A blue Obelisk floats above a snow region, surrounding it in a protective forcefield. The Overgrown City sits near the snow area, apparently made of TEK but malfunctioning. A host of Technological creatures surround the city, but organic ones can be found there as well. This is not the Earth we know. Corrupted Earth contains living creatures. The corruption of Element has led to turning most of the Creatures into a variant known as "Corrupted" which roam around the earth. Due to the over-exposure of the Element, their minds and bodies have become too Corrupted to be tamed like their original counterparts, and must be killed on sight since not only will they destroy anything non-corrupt in their way, their minds moves in a "hive-mentality" state which makes any previous Temperament they were known for redundant. These include creatures like the Corrupted Corrupted Wyvern from Scorched Earth and the Corrupted Rock Corrupted Rock Drake from Aberration. Moreover, these Corrupted Creatures react to activations of Orbital Supply Drops, causing them to amass against the tribes who activated them in waves and will attack not only them, but mainly the activated drop as well. However, not all creatures mutated by the Element submit to its "hive-mentality". Some creatures, such as Gasbags still retain its normal temperament, thus allowing survivors to tame them despite their state of appearance. Several giant minibosses, known as "Titans" roam across sections of the map accessible through dungeons/caves once their following prototype Obelisks are activated. They are extremely aggressive, but survivors who managed to knock it down will be able to tame the savage beast temporarily. Within Earth lies technologies like the Enforcer and the Scout. While these new Mechanical Creatures cannot be tamed like organic beings, they can be crafted by survivors with parts from destroyed Creatures and blueprints from Orbital Supply Drops to build them as part of their tribe. We’re starting this section from Wedding 05 and we’re going to look at Resource Leveling. The way we left things in the preceding section is that I had assigned the bride and groom to the tasks for which they have a level of involvement during the planning of the wedding. And we can see that both of them are significantly over-allocated, particularly during one period in the second half of December where they have a lot of different things to be doing all at once. You can see the specific tasks that are over-allocated with the indicator in the left hand column there in the display. And as I pointed out to you in the preceding section if we look at the Resource Sheet the two resources there that are marked in red are the ones that are over-allocated. And of course in something like this project we don’t really have the option of say having a couple of extra brides or a couple of extra grooms to spread the work over. In another project, such as for example the bathroom refit, if the tiler or the plasterer or the bathroom fitter had too much work to do you could possibly get a second person into help but that isn’t really an option for us here. Now one of the things that I mentioned in the preceding section, which is of course a very important thing to do, is to make sure that you have your default task type set correctly. Let’s just take a look at that now. On the Schedule page in Project Options in Scheduling Options for this project note that I have this project selected. So that’s Wedding 05. And the default task type I now have is fixed duration. Note also that I have the checkbox, New tasks are effort driven, is not checked. Now if I go back to this dropdown here, for all new projects my overall default is still a default task type of fixed units. So in the absence of a specific change for a specific project, that is if you like my default default it’s fixed units. You will obviously need to set that up in the way that suits you. It’s very likely when you are planning projects and as your projects progress that you will experience overallocation of resources and there are a number of ways of resolving these overallocations and we’re going to be looking at quite a few during the course. But before we do just one very important point to make is this. There isn’t some universal, if you like, panacea for overallocations. There isn’t one way of resolving overallocations, which is always the right way of doing it. The resolution of overallocations almost always involves understanding the underlying project, the underlying business, the underlying activity that your project relates to because you have quite a few, if you like, nobs and dials that you can adjust in order to get the best result when you’re resolving overallocations. Sorry, we couldn't fit the entire video transcription here since YouTube only allows 5000 characters.

Follow us at: https://plus.google.com/+tutorvista/ Check us out at http://www.tutorvista.com/content/biology/biology-iv/natural-resources/natural-resources-types.php Types of Natural Resources Natural resources are naturally occurring resources in the environment that have not been disturbed by mankind. By resource is meant any physical entity, which has limited availability. These resources occur in their natural form. Few examples of natural resources are: •Air, wind and atmosphere •Plants (Flora) •Animals (Fauna) •Agronomy (the science of using plants for food, fuel, feed and fiber) •Wildlife •Forestry and Agroforestry •Coal and fossil fuels •Range and pasture •Soils •Water, oceans, lakes and rivers Something that people generally arent aware of, is that everything we use in everyday life are derived from natural resources, for example, milk which comes from cows - animals are a natural resource. We use water, food and vegetables that comes from plants, salt which is a mineral are some of the other natural resources. Wood that we get from tree is a natural resource. It can be used to build a house, make paper, burn in fireplaces and in stoves for cooking, etc. Man utilizes these resources in various ways. These resources are processed further so as to be made suitable for our needs. The table below is an example that shows in what way the resources have been utilized.

Water Resources

005 - Water Resources In this video Paul Andersen explains how water is unequally distributed around the globe through the hydrologic cycles. Seawater is everywhere but is not useful without costly desalination. Freshwater is divided between surface water and groundwater but must me stored and moved for domestic, industrial, and agricultural uses. Subsidized low cost water has created a problem with water conservation but economic changes could help solve the problem. Do you speak another language? HUGE NEW FEATURE: API Resources (14/14) - Laravel 5.5 New Features

26:50
The largest feature to come to Laravel 5.5 is the API resources. This feature allows you to manage your JSON payloads for your API much easier. For those of you maintaining APIs in Laravel, you will begin to jump for joy with how easy this has become. Think of API resources like templates for your JSON payloads. In the past, previous versions of Laravel would run a simple json_encode on your model objects to return a JSON request. This meant you were outputing a direct mapping of your database (minus any hidden fields you defined). This is bare bones functionality and generally is ok for internal APIs but much more control is required for Public APIs. Thanks to API resources we now have an easy way to control the layout of our JSON payloads by creating a "resource" and defining the structure in the resource. I like to think of resources as "JSON templates". With these templates we can define the information we want in the resource and even create or combine information from multiple models or nested relationships. The video explains all of this in more detail than I can explain here, so be sure to check it out. ==== LINKS ==== Documentation on API Resources https://laravel.com/docs/5.5/eloquent-resources ==== MORE FROM THIS SERIES . ==== Full Playlist for the “Laravel 5.5 New Features“ Series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwAKR305CRO8GY3HVpXShlrXab8Cd7VT_ ==== FOLLOW ME ==== Subscribe for New Releases! Are We Running Out of Resources?

04:08
Prof. Steve Horwitz addresses the common belief that the world is running out of natural resources. Instead, there are economic reasons why we will never run out of many resources. In a free market system, prices signal scarcity. So as a resource becomes more scarce, it becomes more expensive, which incentivizes people to use less of it and develop new alternatives, or to find new reserves of that resource that were previously unknown or unprofitable. We have seen throughout history that the human mind's ability to innovate, coupled with a free market economic system, is an unlimited resource that can overcome the limitations we perceive with natural resources. Securing OAuth 2.0 Resources in Spring Security 5.0

01:11:14
The OAuth 2.0 Authorization Framework is elaborate, with several nuances and subtleties that can make it overwhelming for implementers. Its strength and flexibility, have propelled it to an industry standard; quite often organizations look to frameworks to ensure correct implementation. Spring Security 5.0 marked the beginning of a long-term mission that the Spring Security team has to simplify Spring’s support for OAuth 2.0. Last year, it began with OAuth 2.0 Login over OpenID Connect 1.0. And this year that journey continues to now include additional OAuth 2.0 Client features and the first release of OAuth 2.0 Resource Server support. In this talk, we’ll take a look at two insecure applications--one a web application and the other a REST API--and integrate them both with an OAuth 2.0 Authorization Server. The first will feature Spring Security’s most recent OAuth 2.0 Client feature set and the second, its newly-released Resource Server support. For the web application, we’ll configure the client to use the Authorization Code Grant flow. For the REST API, we’ll configure the resource server for JWT support, OAuth2-specific authorization expressions, and JWK set resolution. Finally, we’ll put it all together, logging into our application and retrieving a secure resource.
