How To Use English Rhythm & Intonation: Chunking Part 2

287 ratings | 16875 views
Welcome to Part 2 of how to use English rhythm and intonation with CHUNKING. This is a new concept for many English learners and it is a very important step in speaking English fluently. Enjoy! To enroll in the 7-day free trial go to: http://www.pronunciationpro.com/youtube-free-trial/?keyword=HowToUseEnglishRhythmAndIntonationChunkingPart2=body STEP 2: (**Step 1 is on Part 1 of this video series**) Each Chunk has a stressed word. Within each chunk you’ll want to identify a word that’s more important than the others that really helps convey your message. STEP 3: Be aware of your pace. When you say the stressed words, make sure to hold the vowel(s) in the stressed word a little bit longer. Doing this creates a distinct pace. Listen to me say the paragraph again and notice when I speed up and slow down. STEP 4: Practice, Practice, Practice! Chunking, might feel too exaggerated at first, but keep practicing! The more you practice, the more natural you’ll start chunking. Great speakers make their presentations or speeches sound effortless, but it always takes a lot of practice. I hope you enjoyed watching Part 2 of Chunking! Let me know in the comment section below if you have any questions! Thank you for sharing the first and second party, very powerful technique and effective way to communicate. You have mentioned about practicing, usually how long on an average, great speakers will practice?
