Hi Alisha . I am watching your movie now and I saw a little mistake in 34.23 minute of this movie ( maybe I'm wrong). You said " he didn't think much of his profesor " but on your right side I saw "he doesn't think much of his profesor " I'm a begginer student of English, so if I wrote something wrong - I'm sorry😊 greetings!
Chenlong Tian (2 months ago)
thank you, Alisha, I have learned a lot in your lesson, and I hope that one day I can say English as brilliant as you

Marv Watkins (2 months ago)
These people Ayisha ( was she adopted by POC?) and Davey (probably both pseudonyms...no last names?) are rank amateurs at best. They are Millennials who think they know all about American accents - as in their 6 American Accents post - but clearly have no idea about what they're talking about. They clearly are not dialectic experts and most likely like many ESL types, can't speak any foreign languages well, if at all. That 6 dialects post became increasingly embarrassing to watch! Those two are beyond pathetic to which any true language expert will no doubt attest. An they assume the viewer will understand them in a language they don't speak ( ENGLISH, stupid!). They best that can be said is that this site is bullshit: a great word in itself for non-English speakers to know.

"how have you been?" is this phrase a greeting
Dennis Little (7 months ago)
Yes, that is used as a greeting, there is many other ways you can greet other's here in the US. you'd most likely use how have you been? with someone you know or someone you see at work, a more common greeting to use with strangers or people you may not know can be hello there, I'm such and such it's nice to meet you
