A fence, in English language, could be made of a pile of bricks and cement or just made of wood?
Juan das Neves Soares (10 months ago)
English with Max Thanks a lot! You are an angel!
English with Max (10 months ago)
I would say wood or metal. Normally if it's made of bricks and cement we'd call it a wall.

English with Max (11 months ago)

In England, is a garden hose referred to as hosepipe?
English with Max (1 year ago)
The word exists, but I don't know if it's the most common word for that in England.
Adam Biryło (1 year ago)
I would like to live in your backyard too :)
sachin kaushik (1 year ago)
Ms Max liked your video and was informative. Why don't you make a video on various hose accessories like some special words like a Ldrop, eye hole in a door, curtains or sometimes sheds are used in Windows, silverware for spoons and forks, what we call a curtain rod? Pls help and other small things which we use in house, as while trying to speak English most of ESL students don't know these words. Hope you like my idea 😎 🏩.
English with Max (1 year ago)
I like your idea very much! I've already covered some of those words in my "Kitchen Utensils" video and my "Tools" video. But I will try to do some more next year.
Very good, Max! I also live in a house that has a big backyard. I enjoy watering the plants. I found the clothesline device very interesting. Bye and please say hello to Frank and George for me.
English with Max (1 year ago)
Glad you liked it :). Haha, I'll do that.

Hello Max! :) I'm English student in Ireland. I've bee living here for six months. I've never studied English in my country. Today I'm at hospital. I feel sick. I had to talk to a doctor, and explain what happened with me. It wasn't easy, because I don't know very well about symptoms vocabulary. Could you please teach about it? Don't worry I'll be fine lol Thanks for everything :D
Curious Boxer (1 year ago)
Irish ppl don't speak English? lmao. Where have you been lol?
English with Max (2 years ago)

Thank You! It was looking like I was learning in Australia while watching this video. Can I understand British or American Englishes too after watching your videos of Australian English.
Muhammad Abid (2 years ago)
Thank you! Madonna
English with Max (2 years ago)
Hi! My accent is a little different, but if you can understand me, then you should be able to understand most Americans and British people if they don't speak too fast and don't have too much of a regional accent.
Hellow from Russia! Pls, delete a diamond from your nose. It's like a snot for me. Sorry...

Thomas Schmitt (2 years ago)
Thank you so much for this video. Its interesting how an australien backyard looks like, its completely different from european ones. Palm trees in your backyard, thats really cool :) Thanks for posting all the words in the information box, that really helps to identify the words you dont know. But one thing bothered me in this video, its that we couldnt see your pretty face all the time :) Would it be too much work for you to add the time you say the words in the infobox, like patio (1:18). This way we could find the words easily.
English with Max (2 years ago)
Hi Thomas! Happy you liked it :). Yes, I can add that in.
Nikita Pushkarskiy (2 years ago)
thx a lot for your beautiful pronunciation - I'm not a native speaker so it's quite important to me to understand other people's speech :) I understand near 100% of what you're talking about , that's great. Thank you for teaching us :) please, don't stop , we like your videos
English with Max (2 years ago)
I'm happy to hear that! It is sometimes difficult to find the right speed, but if you understand nearly all of it, that's great. Thanks for your comment!
Thiago Lima (2 years ago)
Ohhhh New video! Awesome, Max could you ask me a question? I would like to know if this words, are used in US or UK? Don't stop this videos I like much! :)
English with Max (2 years ago)
Yes, the vocabulary words in this video are used in both the US and the UK. The only one that is Australian is "Hills Hoist". But that's a proper noun. I'm happy you like my videos, and thanks for commenting!
Joel S. Souza (2 years ago)
Thank you for your contribution. It's precious. I'd like to suggest a video about some parts of cars and mainly using verbs related to the act of driving (i.e. I'll lift up my car with a jack; I had to brake because of the spine; I am accelerating, etc). Thanks for your attention.
English with Max (2 years ago)
+Joel S. Souza Thank you!
Joel S. Souza (2 years ago)
+English with Max That's ok. Thank you for your attention. Success!
English with Max (2 years ago)
That's a good idea! I can't promise when I'll be able to do it because there are a few other videos I want to do first, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.

English with Max (2 years ago)
That's certainly one good thing here ;). Yep, don't want a smelly Frank.
