Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else is searching for your credit report try Magonsi Credit Magic Expert (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my colleague got amazing success with it.

Having expensive cars whilst being broke seems to be a common theme here. I don't understand why you have to create debt for a car. You can get a pretty decent car for a couple of thousand bucks if you buy used cars. That's what most people in NZ do. I've never known anyone here who isn't a millionaire who thought if a good idea to acquire a ¥25K auto loan - it's a depreciating asset. Car might be a necessity but the associated debt is not.

Not really happy about these comments... she can defer her loans based on financial hardship for a while till she can start working as well as restructure the payments monthly. You just have to work with them. Cars yes they should go. But it would harm there credit. So refinancing is the best way to go get a lower payment. $66k a year is actually alot of income for a family of 4 there is plenty of room for food. You have to figure there actual income monthly net and budget from there with utilities, phone, etc,. They really arnt that bad off as this guy makes it seem to be. You cannot take your debt as a whole you have to start off small and go big. Those 90k total loans your gonna be paying them for the next 30 years. There are options and life style changes you can make to budget better. With having your own business you really want to focus on saving money as well at least start out with $1000 and go up in case something happens then work on the smaller bills, anything you don't need starbucks, Netflix or cable. I dont know but my math was working just fine. Don't know how they would go bankrupt unless the business folded. Good luck to that family. Your baby isn't going to go hungry. And if she went to work and got a sitter she would be working to pay childcare and in this economy your better off staying home.

Folks need to get their act together, before getting married, start a family, new car's, new house etc....save a least 6 months of living expenses on the side, buy a good running used car, cook at home more, save money to make a large down payment 30% or more on a fixer up home, kill all your credit card, buy needs stay away from wants etc....and open your ears to Dave....

She has the option with a counseling degree to go into private practice and work for herself. I know plenty of folks did this so they could be home. W ith technology she can also be an online therapist working for herself or as an independent contractor. Counselors are doing this all the time now as a new revenue venture. Teletherapy.

My wife is the only one that works and I'm disabled on Social Security, we barely live from paycheck to paycheck, my medical Bill's with insurance are astronomical, I think the doctors kept me alive so I could continue to pay toward my medical Bill's. What steps could we take to structure some type of program for some type of relief ?

Educational loans are such scams. Check how much you will be making before you sign. Your education may never pay off your loan. So, go part time and pay with your own money. It takes longer but you don't have to do what the lemmings are doing.

It is not her Debt, she needs to stop having kids, when you do not have money, women are very dumb when it comes to money all they do is to spend, but you can't blame her that's what they do, its the man fault that she like that ,put her on birth control.

I've watched many of these videos and it always seems, to me, it is car the loans that throw these people into financial trouble.
Arthur Arnold (2 months ago)
I'm not questioning his/ your advice, but how does getting rid of the cars help? I'd say 9 out of 10 or even 10 out of 10 times the car is upside down. So you still have to pay the difference, plus have the money to get used/ reliable cars. In most cases, I don't see how the majority of people in debt could pull this off. So what is the process in making this happen? I'm really curious and not asking to be argumentative.
DESI NICHOLLS (2 months ago)
the answer is obvious! get a job and turn in your cars and get something cheaper. people are always sitting there trying to one up each other. its okay to drive a beatup car that gets u to point A to B.
Sonie Maikami (2 months ago)
My dad make $300,000 a year and my mom make $80,000 but our family never buy a car that cost more than $12,000! I chose to go to in state college because I didn’t want to take out too many student loan and I was able to move out, afford a car and everything on my own when I was 21! This family are fully grown adult with two kids! How can they not know that buying a $27,000 car is out rages!! And her student loan is just insane, someone should have sit down with her and explain that $300-$400 a month on student loan on top of rent, car payment and everything else is impossible. Unless you’re going to make $200,000, this is not worth it.

Nora Galvan (2 months ago)
Why do you get a car loan with a student loan that large? People PAY OFF A LOAN FIRST BEFORE PULLING OUT ANOTHER LOAN SPECIALLY IF YOU ARE IN COLLEGE. Get the car first or get pay the degree first. I paid my $26,000 car loan in a year and saving up $100,000 for a mortgage down payment. And I'm going to school and managing my student debt so I can leave school in debt less than 20k. This is also silicon valley where apartments are $2,000-$3,000 a month. If I can make it work she needs to step it up. My car is paid off and my mortgage down payment will be ready for when I go back to College

This is crazy to me. I'm not judging her. She threw me for a loop when she said she did not know how much she was going to be making and she had a "surprise" baby. At a certain age babies are not a surprise. You were in debt and you had another child. Write out a budget, get a babysitter, get a job, and tackle that debt. I can only imaginge the stress that the husband is in.
A. Smith (2 months ago)
So do you think that because she doesn't work she is not stressed? She and her husband both decided to have kids, if he's so stressed he should get a vasectomy. You shouldn't feel sorry for someone who is living above their means. He could make more money. It's not all on her.
jediknight38 (2 months ago)

shaniee depp (2 months ago)
Like how did you get the credit to even buy a car in the 20k range????
Gabriel Godin (2 months ago)
Ok. Let's say her husband sell his truck. He still have to buy a decent truck unless he wants to lose contracts: potential costumers do not like old trucks that are falling apart. So he buys a 10k truck. Does he pay it cash ? No. They don't have cash. So he borrows it, but interests rate are higher for second hand vehicles than new ones. Plus he will have to spend more to fix it in the incoming months. About her, let's say she sells her car, we don't know if she really need a car to finish her degree and internship, why ? BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T ASKED HER. Let's say she doesn't. Then there is only one 10k truck to pay for. But let's say she lives in the suburb and there is no good public transportation. Then she buy a 2k Toyota Echo. You haven't told her about that...

I don’t think Ramsey appreciates how much trucks cost. The guy likely has a 3/4 ton working in construction. A 3/4 ton truck that starts reliably is going to run about $25,000. You can’t finish a job if your truck is constantly breaking.

I have lived in North Carolina. The pay there is so low. I didn't see a way I can pay off my debt living there. I am 60 thousand in debt and I decided to move back to NYC to pay it off. And I am a college graduate. I would never recommend taking out a college loan. Bad idea. Now I am almost 40. I want to buy a house but can't. I choose not to because I don't want to add more stress to my debt.
