I have a good middle-class job and I do what you say on a small scale. You say: "Buy assets" which is correct. Another thing I do is eliminate liabilities. I sold my house (the house became an asset during the sale process) which had a $1,000.00 monthly mortgage, I eliminated the mortgage and had enough left from the sale to buy a good mobile home with a backyard in a great location. Now I can retire in 2 years instead of not until 10 years from now.

I bought a 3 building appartment with my brother, a condo that I rent to someone, and leaving in a nice appartment that cost me less than my condo. For all the people who have no clue on how to take his advice or are call him a fraud. He's giving general advice and the basics of what to know. He cant give the exact details because the market changes in real estate. Location, industry, interest rates, tax laws, trends, mortgage rates etc... That you need to figure out on your own. And back then, you could make a down payment on a house with just a credit card; today, not anymore. He's a multi millionaire living financially free and still to this day he chooses to educate people, so you know its not just for the money.
But what does a working class person need to do to invest? Save, gotta put food on the table and can't just go into debt. Investing ain't no monopoly for working class people. Real estate is for people who are already wealthy..
Live below your means, create a goal for what you want to invest in, 20% on a home 3 months of savings in expenses, work another job if you have to, it will pay off to do that instead of giving up finding excuses
It sounds like someone is just trying to create excuses and play the victim card. Stop with the dumb excuses and either go out and get into real estate to be financially free or stay or 9 to 5 to “save”
I just tryed to talk my parents into letting me by an online course in real estate investing but they eMediately told me that is was a get rich quick scheme! How can I convene them it is not , I am trying to get started learning ugg!!!!

I think there's a difference between saving (and putting your money in the bank to rot) and "not spending all of your income". So saving will lose for sure, but managing money and investing it in assets, such as property will lead to a very different outcome.

how do you stay ahead of the game by knowing which area is going to be developed before its actually being published? I usually find areas where construction has already started and I feel buying then its already too late no?

Good that you found what is cash flow , now read what you wrote.
You need more then 10 years, 10 is minimum and that is if you are very generous in this matter, do simple calculations if you want to see how wrong you are, if you can't do something that simple , then better stay away from things that have anything to do with money
He should have clarified the Savings a bit more. The argument with how 1970 or w.e is pretty abstract and out of the blue. Robert is no doubt a success, but I believe he meant to say that don't save your money for the sake of saving. Save to invest. There is no way you can get into real estate efficiently without relying on your capital/credit/etc. Sure you can purchase RE through other means and other people's credentials, but it would make it a lot easier if you were capable of doing it yourself (as all things).
TLDR: Write up a plan, save enough money to make the investment, take the opportunity.
Again, don't save for the sake of saving, but save money for the sake to invest. Hope that clarifies.
You could try saving some money besides and set a date when you'll have enough to start with. It's certainly isn't easy though. Just one of the suggestions, there are many ways to save up and start investing. :) #BTA450 Luka
