It occurred to me something. I will try to look for the link. I was on my first language course when my two teachers argued with each other about a sentence whether it's present perfect or present perfect continuous? They didn' t agree with each other. I saw your face, Anna, that you have had this dilemma in yourself when somebody asked you about the senrence: "I have worked all night." I think you didn't want to speak about that this sentence could have been good if we don't think the duration of the time but we want to say the result of something as an enumeration. That's why you said we speak about duration. I will never forget it as I didn't understand the gist but It was a bloody disagreement between these two native very good teachers.I promise you that I will find the link of this disagreement, as perhaps I will understand me also, as you explained so well when we have to use the present perfect continuous. You could explain so clearly, Anna.

Present perfect continious:- Where have you been? I haven't see you for a long. -asked me my neighbour.- i have been living in Kisoroszi for the last three months.
Kati Svaby (1 year ago)
Thanks Anna, you explained very well the difference between "I live in" & "I am living in" Really in our language we say only I live somewhere and when we should say I'm living in somewhere I have to use an explanation that in summer we live in a village which is really our second home. So if I speak English I can say we live in Budapest but now we are living in a village. Many thanks for it.
I am Abdullah, I am a man, I am Sudanese.

Hello please help me up with this sentence, which one is more accurate ... ???? 1. Living in America (had not) always been a happy experience ... 2. Living in America (has not) always been a happy experience ... I mean when is it appropriate to use (had) rather than (has) ....I am an avid listener to English programs and movies but got confused about the use of present and past perfect continuous of the verb (to have) ... give me a clue or a pattern to follow please
Kada Mauro (1 year ago)
thank you :))
English Like A Native (1 year ago)
2. suggests that you still live in America 1. This sounds like you are telling a story about something that happened a long time ago.

Hi, Anna! You've mentioned Ukraine here, please notice that there is no article 'the'. That is only 'The United Kingdom, 'The United States' have articles but not 'the Ukraine'. That is one of that boring rules that we foreigners are used to learn :) By the way, thank you for your lesson, you're doing a great job!

According to some materials i read, PPC focuses on Actions while PP focuses on results, addionally we use PP with some words ( JEANY....just, Ever, Already, Never, Yet) ! Americans Usually use Past Simple instead of PP ( present perfect)....weird ? Thanks for this useful Video
