In this video I explain the different meanings of the word "guy". I explain how to use it in the singular (guy) and how to use it in the plural (guys).

I am a native speaker from Australia. I mainly speak British English.
Hello, I know you did the Portuguese subtitles for my video "breath/breathe".
Unfortunately I noticed a mistake in my video, so I took it down so I can edit it. I've saved your subtitles, so hopefully I can reupload them once I've reuploaded the video without having to make too many changes. I'm really sorry about that.
Thank you so much for your contribution!
Oh yes! I think you were the first person who asked me about it :).
If you're talking to a group of females, you can say "hi girls" (if they're young) or "hi ladies", but "hi guys" is also acceptable and common nowadays.
Yes, "hi guys" is very much like "hi friends". 👍
Hi Max! In the end you decided to make a video on this topic :) Nice one, by the way! I also noticed a girl in the video who looked gourgeous!! Do you know her? 😃
I have a small question: if I move to Australia, is the majority of people there speak like you? I can understand every word you say, but at the same time I struggle fully understand fiction movies and series... Why is that so? 😭😭
Thanks for your effort teaching us, Max!
I'm glad you liked it :).
No... not all Australians speak like me. Most people have a stronger accent, and I also speak more slowly and a bit more clearly in my videos than in my everyday life. It's because people watching my videos have different levels. I'll try to do some listening practice videos in which I speak more "normally" ;).
