Peer to peer lending is not low risk. I have had alot of loans default in Lending Club that had great credit ratings. Id shout stay away from peer to peer lending. CD rates are increasing.

Great video. I'm planning ahead for retirement, and recently started thinking about low risk investment strategies with decent returns when that time comes. Didn't know some bonds were tax free, very helpful. Thanks.

I put 8k into lending club and ended up with about 5 percent growth.

Government bonds should be #1 or #2 on the list. Guaranteed by the gov. when everything else crashes. That's safe.
Ryan Scribner (1 year ago)
Not bad at all! I haven't done anything with peer to peer lending yet.

Ryan, this video was for Low Risks right, do you have videos for the short term investments? Or these apply for it as well? I got some ideas for low risks and short term like CD, but do you know what is the best for short term (1 or 2 years) and even though low risk?
Amanda Moreira Bastos (1 year ago)
Aha! very good..Thank you ;)
Ryan Scribner (1 year ago)
I would recommend a CD for a 1 to 2 year investment. I wouldn't invest in stocks unless you plan on letting them sit for 5 or more years, unless you are looking to trade stocks. I do swing trade on occasion, if the right opportunity arises.

Very good video. I was looking for clarity of information on two kinds of investments and you got to clear out both, one with Roth IRA video and the other with this. But I´m still working on it as I´m not in US. Ah and you´re cute.
Ryan Scribner (1 year ago)
Thank you very much! Glad I could help you learn about those investments.

BRK-B is as low as it can get...aside from the ETF stuff/tracking S&P500. Great, stable, long term growth

You should do a video about peer2peer lending (Lending Club, Prosper etc etc). I know it's a little off topic I guess, but your audience would probably love it. I know I would.

Thanks for the idea!

Ryan...  I Will Tell You What I Do with Muni Bonds... I Buy a Bond Found that Pays Me +5.44% a Year Tax Free...Then I Use it as Collateral for a Margin Loan at -4.25%...I Put 80% of the Loan into  the Bond Found and that’s Pays Enough to Pay the Debt Every Month... Then I Use 10% of the Money to Buy Index Funds that Beat 98% of Professional Money Managers... That Gives 10% to Buy High Risk Stocks & Other Investments... Also The Lone is Tax Deductible.

Great video as usual. I tried per-to-peer lending. Last time that i checked my account, i was down since two loans had defaulted on my account. It is good for helping people with loans but the ability to generate money is not there.

Thanks for sharing your feedback!

Thanks for the video! Any chance you'll do something covering the Robinhood app. Maybe like pros and cons, or just some general info about the app.

Please do another video because the first video you said was based on research, now that you have actually used the platform please talk about it
Ryan Scribner (1 year ago)
I did a video about this previously :) check back on my channel. I love Robinhood.

CD is extremely boring. Furthermore the banks will take the money and invest it for their benefit. I know I was inside for a while. Informative video Ryan as usual. Thanks a bunch.
Ryan Scribner (1 year ago)
I know I really dislike CD's! Felt that they were worth mentioning though. Thanks for sharing!
Daniel Kon (1 year ago)
really good insight. I'm saving for a move that is 4-5 years out and it would be nice to make money off of money instead of it sitting in an account.

Not a bad idea to look into one of these options!

what do you think about employee stock options
Mason Bourne (1 year ago)
Ryan Scribner i get matched
Ryan Scribner (1 year ago)
I love them. They usually offer you a discount too. I get to buy shares of stock of the company I work for at a lower price than the market price. Immediate ROI.

What about puerto rico bonds????

Hey ryan what do you think of Citron move to push nvda stock down to 130. justified or unjustified?

Hey Ryan! Love the vids! Don't forget Fixed and Indexed Annuities.
Ryan Scribner (1 year ago)
Thanks for clarifying! Don't know a lot about annuities but I will include them in the future on something like this :)

Ethereum. In a couple years it'll use lambos as pennies.
Keep the videos up! Once you start investing it doesn't feel right to go back to low risk haha, thanks for the tips Ryan! *The Monk Way: Investment Videos: 119/1000 Sub Goal*
